Responsibilities:
- The Advanced Manufacturing / Production Operator will perform moderately complex project tasks and assignments, ranging from repetitive to non-repetitive production assembly operations on electronic and/or mechanical assemblies and subassemblies, such as modules, boards, panels, drawers, frames, and cables.
- You’ll perform fabrication or inspection functions in a research, production, or pre-production environment by reading and interpreting moderately complex schematics and drawings.
- Following more advanced methods, techniques, and sequences of operations in performing wiring, component installation, hand soldering, and cable harnessing on subassemblies and units, we’ll rely on you to build or integrate hardware for prototypes, subassemblies, or systems, perform moderately complex electrical tests, along with more complex rework and refurbishment of hardware and systems.
Qualifications:
- U.S. Citizenship is required by Federal Law
- A high school diploma or equivalent is required, plus a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience.
- Applicants selected may be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
- Ability to perform more advanced loading and configuration of customer/standard software on customer devices
- Ability to accurately complete process paperwork and enter data into the applicable work order management system
- Solid computer, communication, and time management skills
- Solid knowledge of measuring/test equipment and math
What sets you apart:
- Strong technical aptitude in cable assembly, including soldering, crimping, and interpreting schematics and work instructions
- Experience working in manufacturing or production environments, with knowledge of measuring/test equipment and basic math
- High attention to detail with excellent manual dexterity and ability to perform precise, quality-driven work
- Proficiency with computer systems and software for documentation, cable spaning, and ERP/work order tracking
- Ability to troubleshoot, repair, and rework assemblies using accepted industry practices (e.g., J-STD-001 preferred)
- Adaptability to work independently or collaboratively in a fast-paced, changing environment
- Demonstrated initiative, problem-solving skills, and commitment to continuous improvement, including identifying opportunities to leverage AI
- Strong organizational skills, with the ability to maintain accurate records, follow safety protocols, and manage multiple tasks
